News and Notes Express Scale Parts & Manufacturing was selected as one of the top 25 small businesses in the Eighth Annual 25 Under 25 awards program. This award was created to recognize 25 outstanding Kansas City area small businesses with fewer than 25 employees. A record number of exceptional nominations were received and the criteria for selection were based on:

Bag Turner
Transfers bag from vertical position to horizontal in straight line - bottom first. Conveyor receives bag from bag closing conveyor and utilizes knockdown bar and plate to lay bag in horizontal position. The wheel then turns the bag bottom first into the next bag tranfer conveyor.
Bag Kicker
Kicks bag 90 degrees to horizontal - bottom first transfer conveyor. Air actuated - photoeye sensed plate positions bag in middle of slide plate to match up to the bag transfer conveyor. Kicker can be supplied with its own 4 ft (1.2 m) conveyor or mounted directly to 900 series flat belt bag closing conveyor - discharge end(must be smooth top belting).
Bag Indexing
Pneumatic cylinder actuated by photoeye or timer logic relay to properly space bags, boxes or container on a belt. Typically installed on 600 series conveyor.
Conveyor Scissor Lift
Designed for easy vertical movement of conveyors for varying bag heights.
